TYLOO have secured the top spot in Group B at IEM Shanghai following a convincing 2-0 victory over BOOT-d[S]. The battle for a semi-final berth in Shanghai began on Dust2, with BOOT-d[S] coming out with all guns blazing. Boosted by their stunning victory over Gambit, the Singaporean side got out to a 3-0 lead on the Terrorist side, but once TYLOO had money to work with the landscape of the game changed dramatically, with the half ending with a commanding 11-4 lead in favour of Ke "captainMo" Liu's side. Carrying their momentum into the second half, TYLOO won five rounds right off the bat to seal a convincing victory in a one-sided game before heading into their own map pick. The second map, Mirage, followed the same pattern of the first as BOOT-d[S] came out the livelier of the two sides but lost control of the game once TYLOO had money in the bank. ![]() The Chinese side ran all over the BOOT-d[S], unfazed by a 1v4 clutch by Anthony "ImpressioN" Lim in the 10th round. Down 4-9, the Singaporean side were able to put their foot down thanks to a trio of kills by stand-in Leslie "Bobosaur" Soen, with Benedict "Benkai" Tan following that up with a decisive kill in a 1v1 to deny HaoWen "somebody" Xu the miraculous 1v3 clutch. Up 9-6, TYLOO further extended their lead after winning their CT pistol and the corresponding anti-ecos. BOOT-d[S] responded in their first buy with a clutch from Nevin "splashske" Aw, but the Chinese side hit back immediately following a quad-kill from somebody - the only team member with a gun. That round by the 23-year-old set TYLOO up for another winning streak, with a quad-kill from Kevin "xccurate" Susanto in the 23rd round sealing the deal for the Chinese giants.
